第21回：【すみませんはべんりな言葉】(Super useful word “Sumimasen”)

いきなりですがみなさんに問題です！！
Ok, here is the question.
次の三つの中で正しい「すみません」の使い方はどれでしょう。
Which of the correct answer from the three example
①in an office
A：おい、これちゃんとやっとけよ！！
A:hey you have to do it now!!
B「すみません！」
B:Sumimasen!!
②in a train
A：あ！「すみません！」こちらの席どうぞ！
A:oh!!Sumimasen! Please have a seat!
③in a train
A：こちらの席どうぞ！
A:please have a seat
B：「すみませ〜ん」
B:Sumimasen
どうですか？わかりました？
You got it?
答えは全部正解です！！
The answer issssss all of them!!

今日は日本人がよく使うすみませんを三つ紹介したいと思います！
so I would like to teach 3 types of “Sumimasen” Japanese people use!!
1つ目
First
ごめんなさいの代わりにすみません！
Sumimasen instead of Apologizing
これはみなさんも知っていますよね？
I guess you already know it
教科書とかもこれで習うと思います！！
You can learn from text books
例
Ex)
遅刻しそうな時
When you are late
「すみません」遅刻（ちこく）します！！
Sumimasen!! I’ll be late!!
人の食べ物を食べた時
When you have someone’s foods
「すみません」僕が食べました、、、
Sumimasen I had it...
2つ目
Second!
お願いする時にすみません
Sumimasen for asking a favor
これももしかしたら教科書とかで勉強すると思います！！
That one is also common so you might learn from text books!!
ほとんど英語の「excuse me」と同じですね！！
It same meaning as “Excuse me”
例
Ex)
道がわからない時
When you ask a way
「すみません〜」ここはどうやって行けばいいですか？？
Sumimasen ~ how can I get there???
レストランで注文するとき
When you order at a restaurant
「すみませ〜ん」注文お願いしま〜す！
Sumimasen ~ can I order?
最後が
Last is
ありがとうの代わりにすみません
Sumimasen instead of appreciating
これですよ、、
Yeah this one...
日本語がおかしい場所です、、、
Makes Japanese strange haha
ありがとうのかわりに「すみません」って言うんです、、
Apologizing instead of appreciating
例を見ていきましょうか！
Well let’s see examples!!
席をゆずってもらう時
When you were given up your seat in a train.
A：あ！「すみません！」こちらの席どうぞ！
A:oh!!Sumimasen(excuse me) please have a seat!!
B:「すみません〜」ありがとう〜
B:Sumimasen(thank you) thank you ~
お釣りをもらう時
When you got a change
A：「100円のお返しです」
A:Here’s your Change!
B:「すみません〜」ありがとうございます
B:Sumimasen(thank you) thank you very much ~
ありがとうのかわりに言う場合は例のように「すみません」の後に「ありがとうございます」も一緒に言うことが多いです！
Most of the time when you say Sumimasen instead of Appreciating, usually say Arogato after Sumimasen !!
でも、「すみません」だけでも大丈夫です！！
But you can also use only Sumimasen!!
しかし全てのシチュエーションで使えるわけではないので気をつけてください！！
But you can’t use Sumimasen instead of apologizing so please be careful!!
日本人あやまりすぎですよね〜笑
